• Hi,
I am using the Yoko theme. I have drop down menus. What I would like to do is to have the top level not be linked to any page. In other words, the two drop down menus would be the only links. Here is a link to the site: http://savevernazza.com/. The item in question is the news drop down. Thanks.

  • It may be something that you can set in your theme options. If not, you may want to try a Custom Menu (also under Appearance, assuming your theme supports custom menus).

    Hi,

Forgot to mention, I am using a custom menu.

Making the URL “#” (no quotes) for first level items should do the trick. It will display the text and CSS of the menu item, but not be a link…well it is actually, but it just takes you in the browser to the top of the page.

That sounds good. What page would I make those edits on?

Oh…important point…to do this you need to change the top level items in the custom menu to ‘Custom Links’ (not one loaded from cats or pages or posts etc)…enter the Label and # for the URL, add to menu, and drag to location. Once that is done, you can further edit the item by clicking it’s title.
