• There seems to be a bug in Gutenberg.

RankMath writes to me in response to my support request:

<The issue with the drop-down is caused by the Gutenberg plugin. If you disable the plugin, the drop-down is working fine. You should get in touch with the support of the plugin and ask them to look into this. They should be able to fix this on their end.>

Please clarify and rectify if relevant

Hi @mukasa2010 – could you please provide more details about which dropdown menu you’re referring to, and what error you’re seeing? I’m not seeing any type of dropdown menu or form on the page linked to above.

Also please keep in mind that the Gutenberg plugin is meant only for experimental use and can be safely deactivated:

Are you a tech-savvy early adopter who likes testing bleeding-edge and experimental features, and isn’t afraid to tinker with features that are still in active development? If so, this beta plugin gives you access to the latest Gutenberg features for block and full site editing, as well as a peek into what’s to come.

`Here again a vidoe. Now with deactivated Gutenberg plugin.

The selection can NOT be changed with the plugin enabled.

But with all drop downs the same problem.

Hi there, thanks for the video. I’m still not clear exactly what the issue is. When you say “the selection cannot be changed” do you mean that you’re not able to check any of the boxes?

I would suggest that you do the following:

    1) Deactivating the Gutenberg plugin. As I mentioned earlier, it’s only needed to get experimental features ahead of their release in core.

    2) Report the issue in the Gutenberg GitHub repo, explaining in detail the conflict you’re experiencing with RankMath. Alternatively, and perhaps even better, you could ask the plugin’s developers to open the GitHub issue, so they can provide as many technical details as possible directly to the Gutenberg developers. Here’s where to report an issue:
