Hi there,
Thanks for contacting us and hope you are doing well and having a great day.
To rule out the possibility of a plugin or theme conflict, please deactivate all your plugins not just elementor addons (besides Elementor). If it solves the issue reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WP theme such as Twenty Nineteen and see if it makes any difference.
Also, this could happen due to our Elementor performance experiments you can try to deactivate them. To deactivate them you can go to Elementor > settings > features
Performance features currently in the experimental stage are:
Element Caching – Elements caching reduces loading times by serving up a copy of an element instead of rendering it fresh every time the page is loaded. When active, Elementor will determine which elements can benefit from static loading – but you can override this.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Kind regards
Hi. Thanks for your answer but no. And now I had the rollback working again and went down to 4.3.1 but no. I think I just take a plugin from somewhere, since I only need a lite version. But 🙏

Hi @yhalinen ,
Thank you for the update. I completely understand your decision. If using a lightweight, third-party gallery plugin is the quickest workaround for your current needs, that is a perfectly valid approach.
However, we would still love to help you get the native Elementor gallery working properly. Since the plugin/theme conflict tests and the version rollback didn’t resolve the drag-and-drop issue, this could be related to your server environment (such as the PHP memory limit) or a specific JavaScript error in your browser.
If you decide you want to continue troubleshooting this with us, just let me know. The next best steps would be:
- Check the browser console: Right-click on the page, select “Inspect”, go to the “Console” tab, and see if there are any red error messages appearing when you attempt to drag and drop the images.
- System Info: Share your System Info with us (you can find this by going to your WordPress Dashboard > Elementor > System Info).
Either way, please let me know if you need any further assistance.
Kind regards,
-

Ok, I’ll give it some more time. I talked to a colleague of mine and he said that I should check the plugins one more time, he was almost sure that there’s the problem. I’ll do that and then I start with the browser if needed. BRGDS Yka

Hi Yka,
That sounds like a solid plan. Plugins are very often the culprit in these situations, so double-checking them is definitely a great next step.
Take your time with it, and let me know how it goes. If neither the plugins nor the browser troubleshooting resolves the issue, just reach out and we can look into other potential causes together.
Best regards,
