I am trying to add the file to download after customers bought it at 0$.
I’ve put the item downloadable but i cannot get the file to upload getting HTTP error.
I have higher max file size 512 MB and the file is 300+

I’ve looked at many posts about it and added all fixes possible but i’m still getting that error.

Anyone who have many downloadable items can tell me how do i add it?

I have the file in .zip on the desktop.

I am hosting it myself from OVH server.

    Thanks!

@imazed you can see that post on our web site for pics

    Hi @unitedgamerz

When I visited that link: https://unitedgamerz.net/http-error/ it asked me to select a security certificate, and upon proceeding forward, I saw an error page like this: https://cld.wthms.co/G1h5Pe

Can you share screenshots of the error for me please? I recommend https://snag.gy for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this thread, and reply to us. It works with Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

humm probably @harishanker was in maintenance, but it work perfectly. Sadly i deleted the pics from my pc since i had them on this post.

    But the pictures show only

    HTTP Error.

Also i’ve readed it say the link should be encoded. Does the media file uploaded automatically encode the link? That is IF i am able to upload it in the media library.

    Hi @unitedgamerz!

I tried again, and this time, I was able to load the page with the screenshots.

The HTTP errors may be cause due to a lot of reasons. Increasing the WordPress memory may not be able to fix it always. You might want to look at your PHP Error logs to see if there are any errors corresponding to the image upload attempts. It might also help to reach out to your web host’s support about this – they should be able to help you with this.

In addition, you might want to try out some of the steps listed here to try and fix the problem: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-http-image-upload-error-in-wordpress/

Let us know how that went.

I have nothing related to the image in the logs.

I’ve tried all things from your link and it still does it.

Also i am hosting the site myself from a rented OVH computer.

    Hi @unitedgamerz

There are a number of things that could lead to a HTTP error when you are trying to upload files using the WordPress media uploader. The HTTP error is a rather generic error.

This sounds like it’s likely a configuration problem with the OHV server you’re using and I would recommend you reach out to their support for assistance.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you have any other questions please feel free to start a new thread.

    Howdy

    Hope you are all well.

Do you perhaps know if the following is possible?

If you want to add a file to a downloadable item in WooCommerce after a customer has bought the item, will they automatically find the new added file in their download history when they go to that item they bought ? Hope this makes sense?

    Kind regards
    Lizel
