    Hi!

I’d like to provide a download page for my readers which I’ve created under my normal WP installation.
    Looking like this: http://www.domain.com/downloadpage

On this page there are several icons / pictures on which people should click to be able to get the download:

    – Click on icon / picture or right click on it for the context menu
    – Download starts or being able to “save it as …”
    – Done

As I have huge webspace left, my provider told me to create a subdomain for the downloads. So I did. I also created directories and subdirectories to have everything in fine order.
    Looking like this: subdomain.domain.com/directory/subdirectory/filename.fileending

Now I cannot access the files to download when I enter the URL in the webbrowser.

    Questions:

    – What did I do wrong?
    – Do I even need a subdomain for this?
    – Is there a more elegant way to do it (would prefer my webspace over cloudstorage)?

    Thanks for answering.
