You must use the field name “your-email” in the CF7 form that you create. Yours appears to be “email” rather than “your-email”.

Also the email sends just fine. But the link sent in the email and displayed on the page is what doesn’t work.
I thought I looked at your form before and it did not have “your-email” as the field name. Hmm. Well, I’m looking now and I can’t really find the form. Can you post a link to the form? I clicked on something about downloading an ebook but then I got a hubspot error.

What is the hupspot error you are seeing?
on the right side near the bottom of your pages there is a little square that has a link that says “Download E-Book” and then there is a logo/picture thingy and then under that in red is “Download Now to Increase Productivity”.
If I click on that then it goes to http://resources.wrightoncomm.com/marketing-productivity and it says:
Expired Account.
The account associated with the domain resources.wrightoncomm.com has expired.
Go into the EBD settings and turn on the masquerade/hide url settings kind near the top of the settings (or if it’s already checked then uncheck it, but I suspect it’s not checked right now).
Try again.

The link that the square links to is the reason we’re redoing this whole thing in WP. The client is migrating away from hubspot. The square is separate from the page the form is on. Once we get this working it will be linking to the internal page we’ve been working on.
I don’t see how the problem is with the shortcode. [email-download download_id=”2795″ contact_form_id=”2793″] The form displays fine. It’s the URL that’s the issue. And nothing changed when I checked the mask URL box. The URL is still http://www.wrightoncomm.com/wp-content/plugins/email-before-download/download.php?dl=2ab3741e4a1bc1ec24ce1ce032d9d171 and 404
Go into Downloads (the Download Monitor section). Edit that 2795 download. On the detail screen, over on the right side, near the top of the page, there will be a URL. Post that URL in here.
Ok, that’s interesting. So, it looks like either you have something that is interfering (ie another plugin) or else that particular downloadid/formid has gotten messed up in the database.
I suggest you do this first:
make a new page in wordpress
make a new contact form in contact form 7
upload a new file with a filename you have never used before into download monitor
using that new downloadid and that new formid, put a new shortcode into that new page you just made and test it (try it with the masquerade/hide url thing checked & unchecked).
it’s important that everything is new … don’t use any old ids at all (and if you accidentally use an old id then you’ll need to start over with a new page, new form, etc). We want all new stuff because we want to eliminate any chance that it will use existing stuff from the database.
if that doesn’t work, then you have to start turning off plugins and retesting.
also, don’t use any punctuation in the filename you upload (aside from the period). Same goes for the file description you type in. No dashes, no underscores, etc. That shouldn’t make a difference, but just eliminating things…. Do not use any foreign characters either, obviously.
I did that and it’s the same result.
I’m just going to have the file emailed with no link to download. It gets attached anyway if I take out any links to the download page. So they can just get the file from the email attachment.
I already looked at the client’s plugins over the weekend, deactivated a few that weren’t necessary and maybe causing problems and it still didn’t resolve an issue. I’m at a loss. This solution should be good enough for now.
Ok. It’s extra weird that it finds the attachment but the link doesn’t work. I have to say I haven’t see that exact case before. Sorry I wasn’t more help.
