Download does not work anymore

On a private (pw-protected) page download of linked files stopped working (Apache message: “Forbidden – You don’t have permission to access to this document on this server.” — It does not seem to be a (Wordfence) Firewall issue… (occurs also when this and all other plugins except Zotpress are deactivated). Thanks for your help.
