download ‘count’ issue

    hi there, great plugin and working well. one issue i have. the woocommerce ‘reporting’ doesn’t work for free products now. i guess that only ‘counts’ where things have gone through the checkout process?? is this something you’re aware of? is there a fix or workaround for this? would be good to somehow be able to count downloads for ‘download now’/freebie items.

    Hi mate this is a consequence of not going through the checkout, no orders are actually created.

    I’m planning on releasing a premium version that includes the ability to track free downloads, but it won’t be using the WooCommerce orders, but that’s a way off yet.

    I can include a count on the product page with a running total, but the full breakdown system I have in mind will have to wait for the premium.

    FYI this is now included in version 2.1, which is live.

    wow – thanks for the speedy update! i’ve updated to 2.1 but for some reason i’m not seeing the download count anywhere. when you say ‘the product page’ do you mean front-end or back-end? thb i’d rather see this stat on the back-end product listing page rather than front-end page product detail page.

    (no rush at all but how tough would it be to display the counts on the product listing page?
    i.e. /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=product
    this would properly cover things off from my perspective on this)

    I’m just smashing it mate 😎

    Implemented the screenshot above, fully working, and it can be sorted like other columns as well. Expect an update in approx 5 hours.
