Double Posting

    When I make a post and publish … goes to facebook – great.

    When I edit that post and update … also goes to facebook. So if I have like 3-4 updates or text edits in a row it blows up my facebook page with repeat posts.

    What can I do about this?

    These are also custom post types – which work fine, but the options window is not visible on the post edit screen to turn on and off … either all or nothing – which may be the issue, but I think it should check that the post exists before just publishing to facebook on every update of the post …

    Also I noticed an odd thing when I went to look at my settings to see if there was an option somewhere. It said it wasnt connected and I had to re-authorize my account. Log said …

    Not a WB user (1) and no overide – give up

    Would love to get this worked out, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    OK – so they can connect… its just that the manual command complains about the cert… which is not a problem as internally Wordbooker should override the certificate limit.

    Try setting Wordbooker to use Curl and then after saving settings do the re-auth and copy and paste the diagnostics….

    OK – its still not seeing the server as its not returning a response and I’m not seeing that access token in any of my server logs at all.

    So all I can assume is that something in the server config is breaking it as I’ve only seen this once before and moving to curl fixed it.

    Thats because access tokens are valid for a few hours

    Can you try doing a re-auth. A server upgrade at my end might have done something a bit odd which can trip up some servers…

    The other one would work temporarily and then fail, bu this new version wont even connect at all.

    Yes, that was after I reset the token. Ill post the logo in a bit when I reinstall it again.

    Can you please post the new support information as that contains details I need to try to fix this problem with your hosting company.

    Are you 6 hours behind the UK or 5? It looks like you swapped back to Beta 18?

    The only way to work out why your server isn’t getting responses back might be editing the code on your server…
