Thanks for your suggestion. I am not quite sure what you mean by a “Save Button”.
The Bulk Edit area on the Upload New Media page lets you make one-time changes to Media Library fields as new items are added to the Library.
If you want to set up permanent rules to update items when the are added you can define mapping rules in the IPTC/EXIF and Custom Fields tabs of the Settings/Media Library Assistant admin submenu.
If you want to make Bulk Edit changes to items already in the Media Library you can use the Bulk Edit feature of the Media/Assistant admin submenu.
I believe the permanent IPTC/EXIF and Custom Fields mapping rules feature will do what you want.
