Domain redirected to .com/install.php after database error
-
why does wordpress redirect domain to wp-admin/install.php
So while working on my website justwicca.com, I went to post a 700 word article.
I got the dreaded database error. Site wouldn’t load, googled it someone said to redo my wp-config and I did. THEN its was pointing me to the famous five minute install.
Googled some more and found out my best bet would be to delete the install.php and make sure the database prefix was correct.
I did that LUCKILY There’s my blog! pages and all in tact!
Only issue is that now justwicca.com’s main page doesn’t show my blog posts and instead redirects to a 404. It redirects to http://justwicca.com/wp-admin/install.php. Just Wicca is just a blog, not in a sub folder. So if i can get rid of the redirect to install.php I am sure my blog posts will be there.
I think one of my seo plugins isn’t compatible to 3.3 I have disabled them ALL for the time being. Luckily I can log in now and still have my posts. but would love to get this fixed!
seems like maybe this ->>>http://www.justanswer.com/computer-programming/53xlh-does-wordpress-redirect-domain-wp-admin-install-php.html
Also I don’t have a recent backup and I don’t want to loose 100 posts…
