Domain Change Screw Up

    I’m new to blogging and didn’t really understand how domains work. I tried to manually change my domain name on wordpress but that doesn’t work because I am hosted by hostgator. Now it won’t let me log in to change it back. Help!

    Hi ttakano..

    If you are using a domain name before – say DOMAIN NAME A and you wanted to change to a new domain name – say DOMAIN NAME B, you wouldn’t just change it from the WordPress URL as it will break things..

    There are certain steps to take

    Yeah I understand that now but now I need to find out how to change it back so I can access my admin page.

    The link you mentioned up there is working and it is also opening the wp-login page. May i ask which link you are having trouble with in trying to login?
