• I’ve gotten this plugin to work exactly once in over a year’s worth of time and attempts. I think it’s clash with SiteGround’s caching or something, and to be fair SiteGround is annoying aggressive about caching at all times even when you turn off everything.
Putting my site in development mode, turning off NGINX direct delivery, dynamic cache, and memcache, and then purging all caches at all the different spots both from the backend and the front end, and still images are unchanged. I decided I would give up on trying to use this plugin. Too bad cause it’d great for replacing images in my employee’s e-mail signatures when they get new headshots and things like that where I have less control, but alas I will survive.

    Hello @dawsonwoods ,

    Thank you for your feedback!

Our plugin is fully compatible with SiteGround, as well as other hosting providers. From what you described, the issue appears to be related to caching, which is controlled by the hosting provider and not by our plugin.

We understand how frustrating caching issues can be, but unfortunately this is not something the plugin can directly control or fix, it’s not something related to our plugin. In this case, we recommend reaching out to SiteGround and asking them to check the caching configuration. Please also make sure that all caches are fully purged after replacing or updating any files.

The plugin is currently used by over 600,000 users, and issues like this are usually resolved automatically once the relevant hosting or site caches are cleared.

If you would like us to check this for you, please contact us at help@shortpixel.com with more details, and we’ll gladly investigate further.

    All the best,
