• This is my shortcode:
    [wp_remote_site_search remote_url=’https://shop.luckylittlelearners.com’ title=’How can we help?’ placeholder=’Enter a search term.’ type = ‘products’]

ANd I just get the message about running the rest api or wordpress v4.7 or higher but shop.luckylittlelearners.com is on the latest WP version.

  • Hi @espressivo,

I tried on my end using the following shortcode and using our Astra theme site as the remote site, it worked.

    [wp_remote_site_search remote_url="https://wpastra.com/" title="How can we help?" placeholder="Enter a search term."]

    Refer to this screenshot, please.

Would you please check the remote site again?

Let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂

While I see that it does work, why am I getting that message for a site that is indeed on the latest wordpress?

    I get:

The remote site should have WordPress 4.7 or higher or Rest API (v2) plugin installed to get the search results.

    Hi @espressivo,

It seems the REST API endpoint on the remote site has been disabled using the iThemes plugin. Please check this – https://shop.luckylittlelearners.com/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/

    I hope it will help.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂
