Doesn't update menu item styling

I’m using a child theme of Twenty Twelve. I tried this plugin, and it seems to work great, except that the styling of the menu items in the header won’t update between page loads; i.e. the links to the page that was initially loaded remains bold when another page is loaded, and so on.

I have unistalled the plugin for now, but would like to use it to ajaxify page loads on my website, if this can be fixed.
