    Hi

I was wondering if the “preload” feature registers pageviews (and other session data) on a website with Google analytics ?

On my Google, analytics, I have ticked the box “Exclude all hits from known bots and spiders” in the view settings for the property.

So I suppose the questions are

    1) How is the “preload crawler” identified to analytics?
    and
    2) Does analytics regognise supercache as a “bot” and therefore filter out the “preload traffic” from its data ?

    Thanks. 🙂

No, Google Analytics fires when a browser that runs Javascript visits your server. The process that preloads doesn’t understand Javascript so GA won’t log any visit.
