Just found this plugin, which is great. But I can confirm that it doesn’t work in the new media uploader of 3.5. I also installed “Faster Image Insert” which puts the old uploader right on the post page, and it works just fine there.
Well, It does work if you:
enable use “Faster Image Insert” AND the multiple upload
But it does not if you use the browser upload
That is true, I didn’t try it the other way. The “browser upload” does not work.
What trigger “Faster Image Insert” that does not use “browser upload”
Yes it looks like the “Faster Image Insert” plugin implements the old image uploader and therefor doesn’t have the additional complications of the new and “improved” media manager.
I’ve spend the last 3/4 hours looking into the new media uploader for a paid client so with a LOT of luck I might be able to get to the bottom of this tonight.
Hopefully I’ve fixed the problem once and for all.
If not, let me know and I’ll go jump out that window lol.
Thanks
Nice, can we get a patch to test for you?
Just download the new version!
Works great for me!!
However, I am going to report again if it works for my other users too. They still had some issues with previous versions.
Thanks mate!!
I really think the actual upload is working now. I tried it lots of times and even on Mac/Win etc.
Works!!! Brilliant!!!! tested on:
OS: Linux Debian 6.0. Iceweasel 17.0.1
OS: Windows XP. Mozilla Firefox 10.0.12
Sorry, it doesn’t work.
Tested on WordPress 3.5.1 Multi-site environment using Ubuntu 12.12 + both Opera 12.12 and Firefox 18.0.1.
It successfully uploaded the images but no any resize happened. The 2 images: 1526Γ1920 px and 1920Γ1390 px still the same size after uploaded.
Works for all of my users as well.
Thank you SO MUCH for the work you put into this!!
Cheers π
Excellent, looks like it’s pretty safe to resolve this.
