Does not work with Visual Composer??

Out of the box, the plugin works as advertised. However, I use visual composer (http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431) for posts as well as pages and when I try to insert a shortcode, it blocks that particular block, but nothing else.
Obviously, I don’t want 20 locker messages on my screen at once, so how do I make this work?
