@keithflick Hi mate,
Sorry to hear about your experience.
First, we’d like to clarify that our plugin is completely free on WordPress.org, and it has been actively maintained and supported for many years. It is not a scam, and it does not include abusive practices.
The deactivation feedback form you mentioned is optional and can always be skipped — it does not prevent deactivation.
Regarding the connection issue: the plugin is working correctly on our side and in our live demo, which you can test here:
https://quadlayers.com/demo/instagram-feed-gallery/
If the account permissions are granted but the plugin does not detect the connection, this can be caused by several factors, such as:
- Cache or security plugins
- The plugin/Wordpress version
- Server restrictions
- Incomplete Meta/Facebook authorization flow
- Expired tokens
Since we don’t have any screenshots or screen recordings from your side, we’re unable to investigate the exact cause.
If you’d like assistance, please open a support thread in our official forum here:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/insta-gallery/
Share screenshots or a short screen recording of the issue, and we’ll be happy to review it and help you as quickly as possible — we provide support to free users as well.
Best regards,
QuadLayers Support Team
