    Hi thanks for creating a sweet plugin, but i cant seem to get it to remove vat from the checkout. Can you help us out?

    Hi, I just entered my Belgian VAT ID and address on your checkout screen and VAT was removed. Keep in mind this will only happend with foreign VAT number, not with German ones (because you should charge VAT to business customers in Germany). Let me know the exact steps to reproduce the issue you have and I will take a look at it.

    Thanks for building something sweet!
    Though I cannot get it to remove vat, how did you get it to work?

    Do you just enter the VAT ID number? When I enter mine DK42208426, which is located in Denmark, it still shows VAT?

    A second question, can I have a button or some way the user interacts to remove vat, could a button next to the field with “Check VAT ID” or something?

    I just tried it with the Danish number you provided and the VAT disappears after entering a Danish address. The plugin needs the check if the address is indeed in the country the VAT number belongs to for two reasons:

    • To combat fraud, the billing address should be in the same country as the VAT ID .
    • When sending physical products, you have to send the goods to the country of the VAT ID to reverse charge correctly.

    I do notice it takes a while until the recalculation takes place, your webhosting might be not powerful enough for Woocommerce.
