For most anti-spam purposes, CleanTalk can replace reCAPTCHA, so you usually do not need both.
They work differently:
- reCAPTCHA checks whether a visitor or action appears human or automated;
- CleanTalk analyzes form submissions, comments, registrations, orders, and other actions to identify and block spam without requiring visitors to complete a CAPTCHA.
They can technically be used together and normally do not conflict. However, using both is often unnecessary. You may keep reCAPTCHA if you need it for a specific additional purpose. Otherwise, CleanTalk can generally be used on its own for anti-spam protection.
