• Hello,

If I bypass the QuicCloud cache, does this also deactivate QC-settings like Block WP API Usser Liste, Block WP API Embed, etc.?

I am troubleshooting the issue that the favicon of my site is no longer showing in Google Search Results. I have already disabled LiteSpeed Load JS Deferred, but it did not help, so I wanted to check if QC has anything to do with the issue.

    Thanks!

Let me ask QC team and come back with an answer.
From what I know it should not disable security features.
Try accessing: https://your-site.com/wp-json/wp/v2/users and see if is limited.

For the favicon issue we have it debugging.
    Thank you

Hello and thank you for your response!

    When accessing the link you provided, with my own sites URL, I got this, but I can not interpret it: {“code”:”rest_user_cannot_view”,”message”:”Sorry, you are not allowed to list users.”,”data”:{“status”:401}}

When you say that the favicon issue is being debugged, do you mean that it is a known issue, and that I should wait rather than try to troubleshoot it myself?

    Thanks!

@hansnielsen there is a security that stops the link to show info. That is good for your site.

We are aware of favicon issue and we try to fix it.

    Thank you @litetim

Good to know that you are working on the favicon issue. If it is of any help for your troubleshooting, I have noticed the following:

    • Favicons disappeared from Google search results around October 2025
    • In November something happened to my Google Search Console. There was a significant drop in the number of indexed pages for most of my websites. For one of my sites, there were 50 URL:s listed on Nov 22, but the next day (Nov 23) there were only 11 URL:s indexed. This has still not recovered, and today there are only 16 pages indexed for that site.
    • Around the same time, October-December 2025, I started having problems with the sitemaps that I had added to Google Search Console. They would fail in different ways, and not be listed in GSC. Some maps would work, others not. The following forum-response indicates that CDN might have something to do with sitemap-issues: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/gsc-could-not-fetch-page-sitemap/#post-18889434

I do not know if the above is related to the favicon issue, just letting you know if it is of any help to know when the above issues started for me.

    Thanks!

@hansnielsen the sites that have problem with Favicon are connected to QuickCloud?
    With CDN/without CDN?

    Thread Starter hansnielsen

    (@hansnielsen)

@litetim Yes, all the sites that have issues with favicons are connected to QuicCloud, using both the QC page optimization, image optimization and CDN.

Also adding, for the favicon issue, that it is only in Google Search Results that the favicon is missing.

The favicon is displayed normally in the browser tab, and also in Microsoft Bing search results, DuckDuckGo search engines etc.
