Akismet doesn’t send notifications when a comment has been classified as spam, but you can view them in your Dashboard. Look under the comments heading, then the Spam link on that page. After sitting in that queue for fifteen days, those comments are removed automatically.
Could I then ask that this as a new feature request? Askimet logs more then comments as spam, it also logs new topics as spam and really there needs to be some way of highlighting to the admins that comments/topics etc have been flagged as spam and that they need look at these.
Otherwise the risk is that these simply get lost and the admin does not
1. realise that perfectly valid comments have been blocked, or
2. know that they have a spammer as a member.
I don’t think the notification needs to be an email, maybe an unactioned spam count in the admin top bar?
