I really want to use this plugin but am struggling to find the help that I need to get it working. Am I missing something that is already out there?

I am creating a new website for Chester Film Society. The main content for the site is a database containing a programme for each year of screenings of independent/world cinema films. I have used ACF to create two custom post types:

• Seasons: The “parent” post type with a title, season banner and text theme for each season.
• Film: The “child” post type with a film name and a screening date/time as well as a lot of details about the film being shown.

As an example, the current season is named “Summer Season 2026” and has music as its theme. It consists of four screenings:

• 4th June – Diva
• 2nd July – Cologne 75
• 6th August – The Double Life of Veronique and
• 3rd September – Inside Llewyn Davis

I have managed to use AQL to sort the films into screening date order but I still need to do quite a lot more including:

• Getting the single page for a season to include a list of the films being shown
• Filtering the films archive by season
• Getting the single page for a film to have previous and next buttons that work using screening date order instead of post publication order
• Getting the homepage to show the next film that is due to be shown and
• Adding a sidebar to the homepage showing the remaining films in the current season after the next one to be shown.

Reading the plugin description for AQL suggests that all this should be possible but I acnnot for the life of me find the documentation (or video tutorial(s)) to show me how to do it.
