Document library-type of functionality..?

    Hi all,

    I am trying to create a section of a website where users log in to sort of a library that’s just filled with .PDF files and .XLS files, and the registered users can just download them at will.

    Anyone have a plugin/or widget they can recommend? I found this, but am unsure if it’d work like I need it to:

    I would like this set up such that a user *would* have to have, first, a username and be registered with my WordPress blog in order to use this “document library” But I don’t necessarily need any sort of a auto-registration system in place–I’ll manually create the users when they need access. But I just do want people to be able to login, first, before they can get to the Document Library and download the .XLS and .PDF files.

    Just wanting to know if anyone knows, offhand, a good type of plugin for doing something like this?
