Distorted Images

Does WordPress do anything with images that lowers their quality? I have no plugins. I have screen shots which look crisp and professional on my computer, but every time I add one into my post, it renders in the browser all fuzzy and hard to read.

I have them all set to full size on the page. I have no idea what would be happening.
