Disqus and comments not working

    Hi All,

    So I am using the wordpress theme Osage, and yes I tried to contact the developer, but they said the theme doesnt include disqus so I am on my own. My question is, when you click on one of our articles, http://amigossports.com/lacklustre-liverpool-still-looking-for-november-win/ , and click the comments button, it wont scroll down to the comment area (even if there are comments on the article). I know its a longshot, but I am new to coding, does anyone know how I might be able to fix this?

    This sounds like their is some issue with your javascript, which maybe because of a dodgy plugin or theme not behaving or the combination means there is a problem.

    You have two choices, if you are using Firefox/Chrome you can open up the developer tools, and go to the console and reload the page and look for errors, which may indicate which plugin is having issue.

    The second is to go and change theme (temporarily) to Twenty fourteen and see if the error persists (to rule out the browser) assuming that doesn’t work, then I’m afraid its a case of turning off your plugins and trying disqus if its working, then activating each one again.

    Before doing any of these actions I strongly recommend backing up just in case.

    Hey Thanks!

    I am going to try the plugin thing and them thing. I really have no idea how to use the chrome inspector thing, i have a basic understanding, but if not, ill write back.

    BTW, I received an email from someone who claimed they would do it for $39 and am pretty annoyed because i thought this was all free.

    EDIT: Ok, so I tried disabling all the plugins. Its definitely something theme related because it doesnt work when disqus is enabled. However, when it is disabled, it does work. What do you suggestion I do next?

    Have you asked the developer of your theme or the plugin developers? Unlikely anyone here can help with a commercial theme as we don’t have access to them.

    BTW. bumping isn’t cool here – http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#No_Bumping

    EDIT – oh sorry, I just read that you asked the developer already – in that case, you could consider hiring someone if you need to keep using that theme and disqus.

    Thanks for taking the time to read the whole thing,

    so heres the deal, I cant afford to pay someone to do this. The only quote I got was for $39, which to me was somewhat ridiculous, considering the theme is $50 (full price).

    I mean surly someone here could try to help me out. I would really appreciate it.
