• I have loaded all my sermons onto sermon manager.
When they display on my website I have the following issues I would like help with:

    1) they only list 10 per page. I would like to list all sermons on one page
    2) I can modify font size on subtext, but cannot modify font size on sermon title, how do I modify the font sizes on sermon title.
    3) there are three bits of data for each sermon that come up as links, but the links take you to a page that says “No Results Found”. I cannot modify the data on the display to unlink them. The three bits of data are pastors name, Series indicator, and service type.
I want the pastors name listed, and the series listed, but service type is not really needed at all. This is useless data. None of these should be showing as links.

    Hey @trishoelrich,

I’ll do my best to help you out.

    1. This is based on WP settings, so if you go to Settings > Reading you will see the number there is set to 10. If you change this, it will also impact your blog if you have one.

    2. For this, you would need to add some custom css, there is currently no other way to do this. The plugin allows your theme to style titles and headings, so the size will be whatever you theme is set to. The title is a h2 heading and some custom css for sermons specifically should do the job.

    3. This is the default behavior of the free plugin. We are looking at two immediate priorities (since we have just become owners of wpforchurch.com) to get the free version bug free, but also to start on a Pro version which will have a lot more flexibility under the hood. For now to achieve some things, you would need to do custom work. Alternatively if you don’t assign service types to any sermon, then it won’t show up. Assigning it assumes it is important – if that makes sense.

I am not sure about the results not found error, its not something we can replicate here using the latest version. If you send a support request to help@wpforchurch.com with the link to your website and maybe even some backend logins, then i’m sure it can be looked into – assuming of course you have their support package.

PS: We have taken over 98% but the transition is still happening so things will become quicker and smoother soon. Thanks for your patience.

EDIT: Sorry, I don’t know precisely what I did but it is working now! Typical!

Thanks all the same though 🙂

Here is the website I am working on: new.princetonlutheranchurch.org
here is the link to current sermon page: http://new.princetonlutheranchurch.org/worship/service-and-sermon-audios/
here is link to an archive sermon page: http://new.princetonlutheranchurch.org/worship/service-and-sermon-audios/sermon-archives-2016/

I am using wordpress with Divi Builder front end

    1. So with respect to changing format on the page that lists the sermons you suggested I do some CSS programming. I have no idea how to do CSS programming. I am a simple user. In fact this is the first time I have even tried wordpress.

I was able to use the Divi Builder to change font size on all the text except the sermon title. Sermons seems to want me to use the default title sizing of DiviBuilder/WP. However, I don’t want to do that since it will affect the whole website and I cant do that. I would rather change the title on the sermon page to a paragraph setting and then have flexibility to change font size on just the sermon page. If you can provide the CSS code I can try to install. But until I play with sizing I dont know exact size I want the font to be either.

    2. How can I format to list all on one page rather than paginating it?
You suggested that I reset the WordPress settings (readings). I have done this and reset to 88. It does not affect the sermons page, sermons page still listing 10 on a page as you can see in links above. Any other ideas?

    3. Blue LInks
I have set the settings page in sermons to exactly as you show on smrtshot.com/i/gtX3e. And it has no effect. Those three bits of data as you can see on the sermon pages are coming up as links. I do not want them to be links. There is not need for them to be links. However, I have no access to how the sermon pages are formatting. I simply see the shortcode on my wp page in administrator mode.

    Trish
