Displaying Attribute Term Images

    I have configured an attribute ‘Leather Colors’ and configured attribute terms for my variable products in Woocommerce. Each attribute term (e.g blue, red, etc.) has an image configured. I expected that the attribute term images would be displayed on the front end when the drop down list for the particular attribute is selected. This is not happening. What am I missing?

    Hi there,

    I expected that the attribute term images would be displayed on the front end when the drop down list for the particular attribute is selected. This is not happening. What am I missing?

    That’s indeed the default behaviour 🙂

    If that’s not happening, it could mean the following:

    • The theme you’re using is overriding the core WooCommerce templates with its own ones
    • There’s a JavaScript conflict coming from one of your plugins or the theme you’re using.

    To troubleshoot this further, please do the following:

    • Share a copy of your system status report as found under **WooCommerce > System Status**
    • Share a direct URL to the product where you’re seeing this

    Hi @kaylesarchelle –

    Thank you for providing that information. I looked at your site and see what you’re saying about the variation images not showing when you select one from the drop down list.

    This looks like it’s most likely a conflict of some sort.

    Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1.) To begin, please make sure that your theme and all plugins are up to date.

    2.) Try to deactivate all the plugins except for WooCommerce to see if the issue persists. If the problem goes away, re-activate and test each plugin to see if you can determine which plugin the problem originates from.
