Is it possible to display the time, along with the title, in the grid view. I know I can format the template for event details when hovering/clicking, but I would like the start time to show on the grid view itself, in addition to the title.

This is not a feature in the base plugin. To do something like that you would want to check out the FullCalendar Add-on: http://demo.simplecalendar.io/fullcalendar/grid-view/
