display posts excluding the first 7 recent posts

    hello all,
    i needed some help with my clients’ blog site where i need to display the posts i a manner that the first 7 posts are skipped and the display starts from the 8th post from the recent posts.and a total of 6 posts need to be displayed at once.have been trying everything since morning,cant get through it.
    anyone who can,please do help.
