Display name on Listing Page

    Hi I think I have asked before but unable to find the topic, I have had a few complaints from users as they are not happy their full name is being used on a listing page and I can see the only option in the settings is to have this or disable it, I do not wish to disable but do you have a snippet or advise so it will only show first name on listings and contact area not full name or username, I do not wish to mess with registration page as I need full name for DPA reasons here in the UK.

    Im using petlist theme

    Yes, possible to do it. But there have another concern if there not exist first name for a user then what will be there?

    Better way, for every user there have settings in user profile here each user can choose how they want their name to be displayed https://prnt.sc/6DImLgHnHOa6

    We will plan to inherit few settings in my-account dashboard, so that user can get it easily. Please tell us if you have any other suggestions, how can do it more user friendly.

    I think implementing into dashboard would be perfect, On registration form they have to use a first and last name to continue I wondered if was possible in plugin settings it says first and last name could we have a first name option also because the first and last name I understand is taking it from the registartion form ?

    Also following on when changes do take affect in dashboard, the user cannot select admin or any admin names or usernames for security reasons and to prevent brute force attacks as in the Uk due to lucy law they have to use full name or first name when listing pets as I can get into trouble to allow someone to sell live pets under name like spiderman lol 🙂

    Hi,
    Anyone not able to choose other name, there display different combination of his first name, last name and user name. The user can choose how they want their name to appear on the public page. We will add the settings soon.

    @alireyad Sorry to step in. Just a request – please allow admin to control this as well – when you add this setting

    Hi,
    We have added privacy settings to the user dashboard. Along with these, there are additional options that allow users to choose whether they want to show or hide other contact information as well.
