Am still waiting!!!
In the meantime I installed XAMPP and WP on a local computer. Had some trouble to install the theme “customizr” but to be very honest …
plugin NEXTten Gallery is doing the job very well.
No troubles, nothing fancy. Everything is working like it should be.
For that part I now know that it’s not me how messed it up. Am waiting for the reaction of hostinger.

is it possible, that it has something to do with the php-version, the hoster is running? My hoster is running php 5.6.2
I’m might try to switch back to an earlier version later today. Do you believe, this might cause the error?
@jropi – I am not aware of any specific issue with using PHP version 5.6.2 … we generally try to test across all major versions up from the WordPress minimum requirements.
