• Anyone know what code is needed to display the comments underneath the blog entries on the front page (index.php). Obviously inline comments work on the individual entry archive screens, but I can’t get comments to display on the main page where there is more than one blog entry being shown.

  • Good job

I still can’t seem to get this to work. I tried making a new comment file(commentsfp.php as suggested, and then used the if ( !$single ) include(ABSPATH . ‘commentsfp.php’) . That just put the comments under the post not in the intended section (under links). Also, it doesn’t show up on the permalink. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong. I’ve left the page running in this format at: http://www.lensday.com

Look at the original index page, leave it as is and add the if statement you mentioned. Now if it is not a single page, commentsfp will show the comments where ever you placed it. If it is a single page, the original wp-comments file will show them on that page.
I don’t know what you mean by “under the links” unless you mean a hack or plugin that displays the most recent comments in the menu section.

I finally got it to work. Thanks for everyone’s help and patience.

Can somone walk me through the steps.
    Like write it down:
    Step 1>
    Change this in this files
    Step 2>
    Change this
    Boom Done.
    Sorry… I’m just an ijget. 🙁
    And can’t make this work.

yeah i’d love it if someone could walk me through also..
or even just post the entire code.. so instead of going through everything we can just copy and paste.. save us both sometime!
