    Hi Anders

I have another question: is there a way of displaying the category descriptions on the theme? I’d like to have some text above all the corresponding blogs in each category on their category page.

    Thanks

    Paul

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @paultravers,

You’d need to create a child theme, copy the index.php file from Fukasawa to it and modify the code in the archive header to include output of get_the_archive_description() on category pages. I might take a look at adding that output in Fukasawa as well, but I can’t guarantee anything.

    Hi Anders

I would love to know how to do this too, it would be nice to be able to display the category description at the top of page 1 for each category.

I created the child theme as per that link, don’t know how to do that last step though :-/

    Hi @paultravers and @theuntakename,

I decided to go ahead and add this in version 1.26, which was just submitted and should be available as an update shortly.

I have upgraded and I see the description now!

it looks like you are only allowing a fixed size of plain text.

Possible to enable any amount of HTML?

I installed CategoryTinymce to get HTML description but it does not display.

This would allow really amazing flexible landing page layouts for categories!!

    I love your theme!

these are my main blog categories

    https://mattsw.art/category/windsurf/
    https://mattsw.art/category/safarinow/
    https://mattsw.art/category/yoga/

it would be very slick if the description could sit in a white padded card, same as each post, but using the full page content width

(if this is possible I will then delete the main site pages+imagegallery I use, and replace with category.description + category.posts)

do you have a paid version of your theme?
