    Hi,

I have a website where I use {post_date,my_date} to display the post date in my own format d.m.Y

This used to work fine (I have the function for it in a snippet). But today I saw that it is now formatting as <small>2026-09-24 06:00:25</small> instead of 24.09.2026

I checked the Pods settings – and sure enough the Display Callbacks was set to “restricted”, where it should have been “Customized”. So I changed it back to Customized – and the field for customized functions was blank. So I re-added my_date there and saved it.

But the post date still displays as before <small>2026-09-24 06:00:25</small> .

    Please help!

    Thanks,
    Astrid

  • Hi Astrid, this comes from the Pods 3.3.9.2 security update. With “Customized”, Pods now only accepts your own function names that start with custom_pods_callback_. Any other name, like my_date, is ignored, which is why adding it again did not help.

    To fix it:

    1. In your snippet, rename the function from my_date to custom_pods_callback_my_date. The code inside stays the same.
    2. In Pods Admin > Settings, keep “Display callbacks” on Customized and put custom_pods_callback_my_date in “Display callbacks allowed”.
    3. Change your magic tag to {@post_date,custom_pods_callback_my_date}.

The description under “Display callbacks allowed” in the settings explains the same rule.

Thanks for the explanation – it works fine now.
