Support » Fixing WordPress » Disabling TwentyEleven theme options page

  • I am trying to disable the twentyeleven theme options page so as to introduce my own. My problem is similar to this one, but this wasn’t the solution for me. I tried commenting out this argument on line 86, but to no success:

    require( get_template_directory() . '/inc/theme-options.php' );

    Also tried getting rid of the function that performs twentyeleven’s custom functions entirely, but this broke the site:

    remove_action('after_setup_theme', 'twentyeleven_setup');

    Does anyone have any other solutions?

    Do not edit the Twenty Twelve theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. First create a child theme for your changes.

    I am actually using a child theme. The second thing I tried (above) was in the child theme. Thanks for your comment. Any other thoughts?
