Hi all. About a year ago we had a domain in use ‘longevity-studio.com’ and have since retired the domain and moved to longevitystudio.com.

However…we’re still getting “Ghost” updates from Wordfence (even though the plugin has also been removed from the website) email updates about file changes(lots of them) for a website we don’t have stacked up anymore…

/home/user/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence (x100 file updates for wordfence).

Anyone see this before or know how to track this down?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for reaching out.

Do you have an uncompressed backup copy of the website in your public_html folder? If so, PHP is still running and scheduled jobs (Wordfence and others) will still be executing. It is highly recommended that you not leave copies of a site like that since they can potentially be used as a way to compromise the hosting account and all sites in it. Compress the site folder or remove it completely.

Hi there, we sorted the issue out. It was a server caching issue on GD. Thank you for your support!
