Disable the plugin

    Hi, after installing, activating and running the plugin, the site worked fine in https://
    After that i disabled the plugin not knowing that it is not allowed.
    The site is still running in https:// but has it further consequences and what must be done?

    Hi Henk,

    when deactivating the plugin the site should revert back to http://, the home and site-url will be http:// and the mixed content fixer stops working. If you disabled the plugin, you can enable it again via the plugins overview, press ‘active SSL’ and the site should work fine on SSL.

    Hi Mark, this is a great and fast support It works fine now. I see that .htaccess is not adapted for https? Is that normal?

    The plugin should write the .htaccess redirect rules to your .htaccess file if the ‘.htaccess redirect’ option is enabled in the plugin settings. Sometimes the plugin cannot write to the .htaccess file, for example when editing the file is blocked by a security setting. In that case the rules can be added manually, see https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/manually-insert-htaccess-redirect-http-to-https/
