    I am getting a lot of customers who are getting their orders rejected by “wrong phone number” or “bad phone” even though its a valid phone number.

    USPS doesn’t require phone number for shipping, but WooCommerce Serviced plugin does require phone number, so it doesn’t make sense.

    There should be an option to disable phone number in shipping, since its not needed anyways by USPS. Maybe Canada post does, not sure but I am not in Canada.

    Few customs are getting very frustrated by this now, they can’t place the order, and the shipping plugin requires a phone number.

    I’m sorry you’re experiencing issues with WooCommerce Services.

    I’ve attempted to reproduce the phone number issue and have been unsuccessful.

    Can you share more details about your store?

    * What version of WooCommerce are you using?
    * What version of WooCommerce Services are you using?
    * Which theme are you using?
    * What payment gateway are you using?

    It requires a phone number for the shipping destination address, however USPS does not require a phone number for shipping label. So it seems like there is no reason for this requirement.

    This forces us to make phone number input mandatory for customer during WooCommerce checkout, so it has this information for shipping label. So, it seems like this is an extra step that is now needed for USPS shipping.

    Canada post may be different and required phone, but I do not know, I am in US and only use USPS.

    I am using latest version of all software. My issue isn’t with WooCommerce rejecting customer phone, its with the shipping label interface requiring a phone number for near reason (at least in USA there is no need for it). This section should be optional, or a toggle option (I am not sure if Canada requires phone).

    Unfortunately the method we’re using behind the scenes to purchase USPS labels requires us to provide a phone number when doing so.

    Are you experiencing phone number validation errors, or are your customers?

    Thank you for the feedback you’ve given us while using WooCommerce Services.

    I just wanted to follow up on this issue – after some testing, we’ve decided to remove the phone number requirement.

    The latest version (1.11.0) of WooCommerce Services includes this change. Thanks!
