Is there a way to hide any columns for images and folders,
like comments, tags, caption, date, and the star icon?
Sure, it is an wp list table. You should be able to use the filters.

Sadly the Admin Columns plugin works only for the Root folder,
it’s doesn’t apply for Subfolders and Images tables.

I am not going to change this. You can use the plugin as-is, report bugs but don’t enter many supprt requests just because is doesn’t work the way you want.
You can filter the columns arrays with:
Filters are working.
Subfolder/Images table Date column width is very narrow (even the date without the published word).
Hiding the Description (excerpt) column for Images table makes a confusion for the View mode icons, because there will be no difference …
Please take the plugin as-is. You are posting new threads for every single item you personally want to have changed.
