Disable admin notifications for new registrations

    I want to disable admin notifications for new registrations to my wordpress…
    It should be a very basic feature, but it’s been frustrating me for a long time because I get many signups every day and email notifications for these signups are useless to me (users have to post in a certain place before I grant them access, so just signing up is meaningless).

    I’ve been looking for a solution for a while and haven’t found anything useful -.-; noticed this was a basic feature for WordPress MU (multi-user) but not for basic wordpress. I also noticed Register Plus plugin has it, but it hasn’t been updated in years and isn’t compatible with recent versions. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/register-plus/

    Any solution at all?

    I was working on something recently with this and had to edit some core files to get it done.

    I know a lot of people have been asking for something like this recently, so I wrote a quick little plugin for it, which you can get and download here.

    for future reference anything that is in pluggable.php can be overridden by a plugin.

    I don’t know how it works with register plus or not.
