I have been trying out your extensions, in particular Responsive Tables and DataTables FixedColumns. These do just what I have been looking for, and I will be making a donation shortly.
One feature that I would find useful is the ability to allow editing of record fields directly from a page in which the shortcodes have been embedded. Is this possible?

This is because we are planning to use TablePress to allow certain individuals restricted access to data which they are allowed to edit. I also use the User Role Editor plugin, and note that this includes many TablePress services in its “Custom capabilities”.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
Also, thanks for wanting to donate, I really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, I have bad news here. It is not possible to edit tables from the frontend, and it most likely won’t be in the future. The reason for this is that this would bring very complex issues with it, that affect the core internals of how the table data is saved. Therefore, tables can only be edited on the “Edit” screen in the admin area.

    Regards,
    Tobias
