Direct Access to lyteCache.php

Caching thumbnails locally doesnt seem to work without direct access to “lyteCache.php”. Unfortunately some servers like the one I use block direct access to php files by default due to the security issue and do not allow in easy individual access. Tried allowing all then blocking all but this in .htaccess but thats causing so many unpredictable issues. Is there seriously no way to make this image caching work without having to have direct access to a php file? Thanks
