Difficulties with Thrive Architect
-
Hi there!
One of my friends is trying to use The Events Calendar on a website that was built using Thrive Architect (another site builder similar to Elementor) and they are experiencing some issues. With the default settings, the plugin is able to render the calendar properly on the slug we select for the Calendar. However, the page with the calendar is missing the site’s header and footer or… any theming for that matter. The entire page is blank except for what the calendar plug-in generates.
When we change the calendar to render against the default posts template, I can see styling on the page, however the calendar renders as an un-formatted, broken mess.
Thrive Architect itself claims that the plugin is attempting to use the “All Archives” template page, which renders correctly when brought up in the post view or when brought up within Thrive itself.
I have disabled speed optimization plug-ins on the site to try to debug this. This is reeking of a compatibility issue between Thrive Architect, the theme which is installed via Thrive (Called Ommi), and the free version of The Events Calendar.
On another website I personally built with The Events Calendar installed, using the built-in WordPress Gutenberg editor and 2025 theme, absolutely no problems!
Any tips or suggestions on what to try?
