Hey this is my first time using wordpress, I heard all the good things about it and decided to make a blog πŸ™‚

Anywase my blog is going to be more like a newspaper/magazine

I have created 7 diffrent pages

    Home/News/World News/Blog/Girls/Jokes ect

How can i post a new article on the page I want, if I write a joke I want it to show up on the joke page, if I write news I want it to show up on my News page ect ect.

When I go to post something it only gives me a categorie to pick, is there a way I can pick a page for the post to show up on?

Is there a plugin that does this or I am blind?

    Any help would be appreciated

  • You’ll want to take a look at Category Templates and get a feel for the WordPress template system used in themes.

so its not possible to do this?

I have not checked the links yet.

On my header taskbar the page titles show up for the text.

These need to be Categorys? not page titles?

    I already have a theme

    briangardner.com/demos/

this is the template I am using

I have not checked the links yet.

I encourage you to review some of those links if you are going to modify your theme to do special things.

On second thought, let me also point out, by using Categories , say one Category is Jokes, then Jokes will show up as a Category, and then when your user clicks on that, they will be taken to a page showing all the posts in Category.

Try using the WordPress 1.6 Default Theme, create a Category call Jokes, use that Category on a post, then look at your main page and click on the Category Jokes to see your post.
