different banner picture per page
-
How does one make a different banner and side bar picture per page? That way if there are 6 pages in the menu bar there are 6 corresponding picture.

It is actually very easy 🙂
In every page select Featured image (on the right sidebar of WP page editor) and upload the image that would be at least 960px wide.
Hi Tomas, Unfortunately setting a new Featured Image when a Header Image has been selected is not working. I see the Header Image every single time.
I suspect that this has something to do with the Template the page is using? I’m not understanding the difference between the Front Page template and Default template.
The site I am trying to create is very very simple. Each page has a standard 960 x 350 banner image and 300 px wide sidebar. I’d like each page to have a different banner image and sidebar image. Can you let me know what I’m doing wrong that I can’t get Tiny Framework to produce this very simple site?
Thank you for your help.
As far as I remember when the page is assigned as a Front Page (not necessarily using the Front Page template), it uses the default header. Other pages should show their own individual headers.
Front page doesn’t have sidebar and it has 3 unique widgets at the bottom that are not used in other/default templates.
If you want to target Front page or home, you can edit header.php (copy to child from parent) and add additional IF is_home with the hardcoded image.
Hi Tomas,
Unfortunately I still cannot get the “Featured Image” to show up as the Banner image on pages using the Default Template.
Is there anything else I can be trying?
Perhaps there is a conflict with a plugin?
Upload fresh parent theme, disable all plugins, caching, etc. and then try. It should work, then enable plugins one by one to see what is the cause.
It is something related to your site, theme works correctly.
Also image should be at least 960px wide.
Last time another user had this problem, he was using Jetpack with Photon activated. Photon is known to have this bug that prevents featured images working.
Hi Tomas,
I re-installed Tiny Framework and disabled the plug-ins (Jetpack). This allowed the Feature Image to show as the Banner Image on each individual page. Thank you!
I’m now unable to add a Site Logo above the Navigation Bar however.
Can you also let me know if there is the ability to add a unique sidebar to each individual page through the sidebar widget in Tiny Framework?
Thank you for your help.
You can enable Jetpack, but just turn of the Photon component in the Jetpack’s settings.
