Destroyed view after empty password click

    Perpetration:

    Create a page e.g. with 3 simple file downloads, all of them protected by a password.

    Then, on one of them password protected file download click download button without enter a password.

    After click, a new tab opens with message “Error! This download requires a password. [Click here] and enter a valid password for this item”.

    After [Click here], the page looks very strange. This is not the page is should look like. Also the error message should not open a new tab.

    How to fix this?

    Hi, I just carried out a test. I followed your steps above and in my case the page that opened up was the correct page. I suspect that you might have a plugin or theme conflict. Can you carry out a test. Disable all of your other plugins then carry out a test? If this does not work, can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Sixteen or Nineteen.
