Desperate help to get categories right

    I’m new to word press, but after 10+ hours trying to get this right this is my last hope. I bought the pro version of this plugin to support the dev, so here’s my issue.

    I have a upload page for content/ caption. I want to have it where if a certain user is logged in then it uploads to their profile, or pages like a private blog. only certain people, and the uploader can only see the pages.

    I saw a help document that said the category ID can be used to do this.

    I don’t know how to even assign a certain ID, or anything. I try to find the ID by going to the post, and in the URL I see an ID. I also went to advanced in settings, and tried setting a specific ID. im so lost. thank you!
