Designed site will not publish

After designing the site and visting it in WordPress to make sure it is the way I want it, I go on line and the site comes up with the domain name as the site name and “Just another blog…” describing it. I must have missed a step somewhere in publishing it?? This newbie would appreciate some help. Thanks.
